Ayodele Drum & Dance Class
Chicago, IL
Experience the energy of House dance with Khadijah at Sherman Park in Chicago, presented by Ayodele Dance. This class dives into the foundation of House while exploring its nuanced possibilities through Khadijah’s unique lens—emphasizing groove, intricate footwork, and the African aesthetic within the form.

Dakar, Senegal
Khadijah will be in Dakar, Senegal for a residency with Sunu Thiossane, an arts and academic enrichment-based youth development organization dedicated to high-caliber arts training and community empowerment. During her time there, she will be teaching House dance while also studying with Senegalese dance artists.

Khadijah has been invited to Ghana to study with Sakumo Dance, learning traditional movement practices through the Dagara Music Center. Separately, she will engage in intensive drum and dance training with renowned artist Sulley Imoro. Her time in Ghana will conclude with a live performance. Body Prayers
Minneapolis, MN
Khadijah will lead a private House dance workshop with the Body Prayers cohort, offering an embodied exploration of groove, rhythm, and cultural roots. As part of the culminating fellowship observance, she will also perform a solo at the Lab Theater.
